Serenity

Serenity

A Poem by Shawon

She looked untroubled, little tired

Most probably uninterested

She left the table,

A little longer I stayed.

When stars told, its midnight

She was still awake

I was by her window

I was being infatuated

Night grew older, I felt colder

I resisted till the sunrise

She did not sleep that night.

I took the pencil and paper

To drop few lines

Every word I pick, she outshines.

She is the perfect stranger,

Should I keep her like this?

She was an arrow through the heart and soul.

I wish I could ask

Let’s fly high, will you come with me tonight?

I tempted to say as I saw her walk away.

For a moment, everything that means is she

Then  I found silence, serenity all around me.
