My Knight in Shining Armor

My Knight in Shining Armor

A Poem by Shawn Ruschel
"

a letter to my knight in shining armor

"

My knight in shining armor is someone I've known for 15 years, whom I love very much.

I want to tell everyone that reads this poem, it's possible to find love anywhere: even on the job.

The reason he is so wonderful is because he's been my best friend and family ever since I was 21.

We'll call him love machine.

My favorite part of him is his eyes, because he has the darkest brown eyes you ever saw.

Distance seperates us for now, but it's very true that absence makes the heart grow fonder.

He lives in Bradenton, and I live in St. Petersburg. I think about him often and talk to him every night

I was attracted to his caring spirit and his sweetness.

The things he gives me are so priceless. You can't put a price tag on it.

I've been with him so long, no matter what anyone tells me, I'm not going to leave him.

We will be getting engaged this Christmas. I've been dreaming of him ever since I was a little girl.

I know this may sound odd, but a lot of people say he's not good for me. But, he feels for me and I feel for him.

I know he loves me. He always says I make him laugh when we talk.

I called him from work today, because I had a bad day. He is never far from my thoughts.

Eventually, we will have everything we want, even a child. Even if I have to leave my group home.

But, first we have to save money for a house and hiring staff to help us.

I'm willing to give up my comfort zone for you.

It's taken me a long time to love somebody. I miss you each day more and more.

I want to be in your arms each waking minute and each sleeping minute.

Live is too short. I love you.

I learn so much from Romy, my house manager.

I can't wait to see each other again, so we can talk about these things. I'll always be there for you. I'm never breaking up with you again. I hope your day was wonderful today. I hope your night's even better.

I love you very much. Hugs and kisses. I'll write more later.

Your loving girlfriend,

Shawn
