![]() You, MarilynA Poem by Shawna![]() I am a big fan of Marilyn Monroe. I know people have different opinions about her, her acting career, her singing, and so on, but I was always fascinated with her life.![]()
Your life was so tragic.
Your heartache was real. They used you like a napkin. But never once asked "How do you feel?" You had so many problems, From your mind and your heart. You popped your pills, Read your lines, and played your part. A beautiful mannequin, they would say. But you were a pawn in a game. They wrung you out when you were done. You drank your whiskey to hide your shame. People say what they want. They make speculations and such. They knew you as Marilyn. Norma Jeane? Not as much. You had two sides. One was good, the other bad. Marilyn was a sex symbol. Norma Jeane was all you had. One warm night in 1962. You gave your final show. Is this how you really wanted it? No one will ever know. But when you were a star, You shined in every sky. I will always be your fan, Fascinated with your tragic life. © 2013 ShawnaReviews
