Poetry

Sometimes we just have to laugh at ourselves and not take life too serious.

Repetition repetition, lots of words that rhyme.

I like to think I am a poet, most all of the time.

Good word flow and good imagery at best,

Sometimes I take my poems, compare them to the rest.

Some are short and leave you feeling confused,

Some are too vulgar and leave you feeling used.

Some poems are sad and sometimes make you cry.

Some poems are surely written by someone who is high.

Big words to make you think, witty words to make you smile.

Sweet words that are romantic, and angry words for a mile.

Reborn Robert Frosts, and Emily Dickinson-esque words,

I like to read them all, silly or absurd.

I am no professional I can assure you of this,

I am set in my own ways and writing is my bliss.

All poems are different but unique in their own special way,

And I would take a bad poem over no poem any month, week, or day.

Love it. just love it. If I were a 1/4 century younger, and if I wasn't already married to the love of my life (34 years now :), and if you weren't engaged to the love of your life i would be interested just from reading your poetry! haha ;-)
