For Amber

For my little sister, she is 21, I am 26.

She is young and sweet and I love her dear,
she is my little sister, my second gear.
Her name is Amber like the color of fall,
she was there with me throughout it all.
When we were young she danced on my nerves,
but when I grew patience, I longed for her words.
We laugh and we cry and we talk to each other,
we are fair skinned and blue eyed, just like our mother.
She is there when I am sick and there when I am sad,
we say silly things that no one else understands.
Why did I write this for a dear little sister?
'Cause when she's asleep, even then I miss her.
