To love or not to love...

Here is a four letter word: l-o-v-e.

It can make you happy,

it can make you sad.

It can make everything funny,

it can make everyone mad.

For only four letters,

it's a powerful force.

It can lead to a marriage,

it can lead to divorce.

There's something about it,

it can make you lose your mind.

It can make you rob a store,

it can even make you blind.

So how is it so strong,

this small little word.

That can make you so kind

or make you so absurd.

It's powered by a machine

that beats like a drum.

It can make you so sweet

or it can make you so dumb.

It's big or it's small,

it's warm or it's cold.

For some it can be bought,

but for some it can be sold.

It's all to pieces,

or it's on the mend.

It is your heart,

that makes you love, my friend.
