It was Friday night and Courtney was lying on her bed. She was home alone and she was bored. She stared at her ceiling completely bored out of her mind. Everyone was out. Including Shawn. He was on a date with Ashley. She started thinking about how her and Shawn used to spend every weekend together. She really likes spending time with him but they rarely do anymore since he has a girlfriend...Ashley. Courtney grabbed a pencil and a piece of paper and decided to a write a poem about her friendship with Shawn.
"All Yours"
Things have been rough
You used to be all mine
I thought it'd stay that way
But things change within time
We are best friends
And that's a promise
All of these moments
Are ones I don't want to miss
So come back to me
But you don't have to forget her
Why can't you be all mine
If I am still all yours
Boy, I don't want to lose you
You are my best friend
You're like a brother to me
And I don't want it to ever end
Courtney read the poem over and over again. She really wanted to be with Shawn right now. She then thought if Shawn would feel this way if she was the one who was out on the date. So that made her think of her crush. Her crush of two years now. No one knows except for Shawn. So she decided to write a poem about her crush.
"All Yours"
Just say the word
And I'll be all yours
Just say the word
I'm yours for sure
Had me at 'hello.'
Please don't go
I'm her to stay
Don't go away
I'll love you forever
Let's get together
You are the best
Not like the rest
You are mine
It's all fine
Just say the word
And I'll be all yours
Courtney sighed. She would give anything to just be with either Shawn or her crush.

"Hey, Amy. Look at this poem I wrote about Shawn on Friday." Courtney said. Her and Amy were standing by Amy's locker.
"A poem? About your Shawnie. Aw! Let me see!" Amy said.
Courtney handed Amy the poem.
"Aw! All Yours. How cute!" Amy smiled as she read the poem. It didn't take long at all for her to finish it. After she read it, Amy had a shocked look on her face. "This is about Shawn?!" She asked.
"Uh-huh. I wrote it when I was thinking about him on Friday night. Do you like it?"
"Like it? I love it! It's so cute! Do you mind if I show it around to other people?" Amy asked.
"No, go right ahead." Courtney smiled.
"Thanks, Court! See ya later!" Then Amy ran off to her other friends.
Someone tapped Courtney on her shoulder. She turned around and saw Shawn...with Ashley. Holding hands. Courtney looked at Shawn. She could tell his eyes were saying 'Please help me, Court!'. Courtney saw nothing but happiness in Ashley's eyes.
"Hey, guys. What's up?" Courtney asked.
"Nothing much. Shawn and I had the best weekend possible! Right, Shawnie?" Ashley said.
Shawnie? I'm the only one allowed to call him Shawnie. Since when did she start calling him that? Courtney thought.
"Huh? Oh yeah. Right." Shawn said.
"You okay, Shawn? You seem a little...distant." Ashley said.
"Yeah. I'm fine. It's just that. Can I talk to you, Courtney? Alone."
"Sure."
"Okay. I'll talk to you later, Ashley." Shawn said. Ashley walked away.
"Courtney! You've got to help me!"
"Ooh. Ashley troubles?" Courtney asked jokingly.
"She's a crazy woman! She's obsessed with me! I never leave her sight. And it's just so weird kissing a thirteen year old girl when you're fifteen!"
"Then just break up with her."
"I want to! But, she's so sweet and caring. She's everything a guy could ask for but--"
"Only if your a thirteen year old guy yourself?"
"Yep. And Courtney. I just," Shawn hugged Courtney, "miss you so much! It's not the same without you around."
Shawn and Courtney heard multiple "oohOOHooh's." in the hallways. They pulled apart. They didn't think too much of what the other people said.
"I know. So just break up with her?"
"When?"
"Right now."
"Right now?!"
"Yeah. Just get it over with."
Shawn looked over his shoulder and saw Ashley smiling at him.
"Ugh. You're right. I gotta do it. I can't take it anymore. Who cares about those rumors. I need to say goodbye."
"Aw! That's my Shawnie."
Shawn nodded at Courtney then turned around and walked towards Ashley.
"Ashley, we need to talk. Now."
"What's wrong?"
"I...I'm breaking up with you."
"What?"
"I'm sorry, Ashley. I really am. I just don't think us is working."
"No. Don't."
"I'm sorry. I really am. We--"
"So the rumors were true! You do love to break girls hearts!"
"Ashley! No, I don't! That's just a stupid rumor!"
"I should've believed them. I thought you were different. Evidently I was wrong. You do love to break girls hearts!"
"Whoa! You dumped another girl, Shawn?" Tyler asked.
"He dumped her for Courtney!" Lauren said.
Courtney looked up at Shawn who just said, "What!"
"Courtney likes you, too, Shawn!" Heather said.
"What!" Courtney said.
"It's written right here in this poem about you, Shawn!" Jessica said as she held up the poem.
"Oh. My. God." Courtney said as she realized it was poem for her crush, not Shawn, that Jessica was holding.
"oohOOHooh." Throughout the hallway happened again.
"Th-that poem isn't about Shawn!" Courtney said.
"But you showed it to me and said it was!" Amy said.
"Amy, I gave you the wrong one! That one isn't about Shawn. It's about...someone else." Courtney said.
"Then who is this one about?" Tyler asked.
"It's...just someone."
"It's about Shawn! You know it is!" Megan said.
"No, it's not about Shawn!"
"Then who?" Tiffany said.
"Just someone."
"If you can't tell us then it's about Shawn." Tyler said.
"No. Just shut up!"
Courtney looked over at Shawn. He knew who it was really about and he also knew that she didn't want to say.
"It's just about a guy that she met over the summer. Now just leave her alone." Shawn said while still looking over at Courtney.
"Then where's the poem about Shawn. You must have one since you said this one was about him accidentally." Tiffany said.
Courtney pulled a piece of paper out of her folder. She looked at it. This was the poem that was about Shawn. She looked at the title. All Yours. She mentally slapped herself for giving both poems the same name. She walked over to Amy.
"This is the poem about Shawn. It's just about our friendship. How I've been missing him for the past two weeks." Courtney said. She gave the poem to Amy. Courtney walked back to where she was first standing. Her and Shawn looked at each other and then smiled. It only took a few minutes for the poem to be passed around to everyone. Everyone walked away. They were disappointed because they were proved wrong. Jessica gave back Courtney's first poem. When the crowd was gone Ashley walked up to Shawn. She looked straight at him and she handed him Courtney's poem about him.
"I'm sorry she missed you that much, Shawn. Goodbye." Ashley said and then she walked away.
"Don't laugh." Courtney said to Shawn.
"I'm not gonna laugh. Nice poem, Court." He handed it to her.
"I'm sorry for all of that. And thanks for backing me up."
"It's alright. And that's what best friends do. And besides, I know that you really didn't wanna say who it was about. I knew though."
"Of course you know."
"Why don't we spend the rest of the day together. Just like we used to."
"Well, I don't know I might be busy."
Shawn looked at her.
"I'm kidding!" Courtney said.
