"

"Good morning, class. Jeremiah please no sitting on the desks, Shawn turn around, Lauren please stop talking. Now, class. Please welcome a new student here at Nicholson High." Mr. Angelli, Shawn and Courtney's math teacher, said. There was a girl who was walking slowly towards the front of the class with Mr. Angelli. Mr. Angelli looked at her and then looked back at the class. "This is Ashley Morgans."

"Whoa." Shawn said in a quiet voice, almost a whisper, as he saw Ashley. Courtney heard him and she smiled to herself.

"I want all of you to make her feel welcome." Mr. Angelli said. "You can take the only open seat next Courtney there."

Ashley walked nervously down the aisle next to Shawn. She looked at him and he looked at her. Their eyes met and Shawn knew that he was falling for her. Ashley then quietly sat down next Courtney. Courtney couldn't wait until class ended so she could talk to Shawn about this.

When class ended Shawn watched Ashley leave. Courtney noticed this, grabbed his arm, and quickly pulled him out of the classroom. They stopped int the hallway right outside their math class.

"You like Ashley, don't you?" Courtney asked.

"How'd you guess?" Shawn replied with a smile.

"Awww! Shawn! That's so cute! You should ask her out!"

"Already? I mean, I don't wanna look desperate here."

"Hm. You're right. You should wait a while."

"How long's a while?"

"I'd say...a week or two."

Just then Ashley walked by as if she went the wrong way the first time and she had to turn around and go the other way. Her eyes and Shawn's eyes met once again. But then she looked at Courtney then quickly looked away.

"I don't think I can wait that long, Court." Shawn said with his most charming smile. All of the other girls around Shawn looked at him in awe then they all giggled and looked away.

"Shawn, I don't think you will have trouble getting Ashley. I mean, every girl that walks past you stares at you in awe."

"Well, you know how I do." Shawn kept smiling and then ran his fingers through his hair. Courtney laughed and her and Shawn started walking towards their second period.

~~~~~~~~~~
"I swear, those sixth graders multiply overnight!" Shawn said and him and Courtney walked into Shawn's house.
"Oh, good. I thought I was going insane thinking they were."
"Nah. If you go insane, Court, I'm right there behind ya."
Courtney was about to open her mouth to say something but then she closed it as if her comeback wasn't good enough. They walked into the kitchen.
"Good afternoon, Mrs. Adams." Courtney says politely.
"Hello, Courtney. Nice to see you. Hey Shawn, did you know that we have new neighbors."
"Oh yeah. He knows." Courtney said with a smile as got a water bottle out of the refrigerator and then sat down at the table. Shawn shot her a glare that read "I hate you right now." Courtney smiled.
"You do, Shawn?"
"Yeah. The girl's in our grade and she's in our math class."
"Oh that's great. You and Courtney should go say hi."
"Yeah, Shawn. Come on, let's go. Right now."
"Heh, no thanks. Maybe later. We've got some homework to do right now. So see ya later, mom." Shawn montioned for Courtney to follow him. She got up and they went up the stairs and into his room. Shawn slammed the door shut.
"What we're you thinking?! We're you trying to get my mom to embarrass me?" He said. Courtney giggled.
"No. It's just funny to see you mad." She said.
"Well, next time a pretty girl walks in just shoot me."
"Oh come on, you are overreacting!"
"No I'm not. And the next time I like someone, I'm not telling you."
"I'll get you to tell me one way or another." Courtney smiled. "And besides, you'll be over Ashley in a day or two."
"No. I won't be. I really like her. She's not one of those hot girls that I date for three days then break up with. She's not. She's...different."
"Wow, you really do like her."
"Yeah I do!"
"Then you need fix some things."
"Like what?"
"You're hair for starters." Courtney starts to mess up Shawn's hair to try different styles.
"Don't. Don't. Stop touching my hair!" Shawn pusher her hands away.
"Why?"
"It's been the same all my life and--"
"That's the problem."
"No. It's not. The problem is all of the rumors."
"Rumors? What rumors?"
"The rumor that I love to break girls hearts."
"Oh yeah. That one. Who started that?"
"Tiffany. We dated for three days then I broke up with her. Then I dated Dana for two days and I broke up with her. Then I dated Kelsey for four days and I broke up with her. Tiffany saw that and started a rumor about me. The only reason why I broke up with them is because they weren't right for me. Not because I like to break girls hearts. They just weren't right. But Ashley...she's different. But God I hate that rumor. I care about girls, you know that."
"Yeah. You do. But just put that rumor aside."
"But what if she hears about it before I ask her out?"
"Fine then. Ask her out tomorrow. There's no way she could've heard that rumor today."
"I don't know. I don't want to seem too pushy. Maybe I'll wait until Friday."
"Okay, whatever you want, Shawn. Now come on. We have a lot of homework to do." Courtney said.
"Yeah." Shawn agreed.
~~~~~~~~~~

"So how many sixth graders do you think there'll be tomorrow?" Courtney asked. She was standing on the steps right outside Shawn's front door of his house. Shawn was standing in the door way.

"Hm. Probably around twenty." Shawn said with a smile. Courtney laughed.

"Okay, well, I gotta get home. My dad's cooking dinner tonight and my mom's all 'You should really support your father no matter how inedible his dishes are.' So yeah. See ya tomorrow." Courtney turned to walk away but then stopped as she noticed Ashley across the street looking over at Shawn's house.

"Oh, Shawnie. Look who's across the street looking at you." Courtney said. Shawn looked across the street. He saw Ashley and he blushed. Courtney looked at Shawn.

"Awww! Shawn!" She said.

"What?" He asked.

"You're blushing." Courtney whispered while smiling.

"Shut up." Shawn said playfully. Courtney giggled.

"Goodbye, Shawn." She said then walked away.

Shawn was still looking over at Ashley when his mom touched his shoulder. He jumped.

"Ah. So you see our new neighbors. Make sure you say hi to her tomorrow, alright?" His mom asked.

"Yeah, sure." Shawn said as he closed the door.

~~~~~~~~~~
"Okay, you are going to say hi to her today." Courtney said. They were sitting in math talking before Ashley got there. Shawn sighed.
"I guess so." He said.
"Hey, I thought you would up a fight about it."
"Well, I gotta start somewhere. I can't just come up out of nowhere and ask her out."
"True, true. Okay, so after class you are talking to her."
"Why not now?" Shawn asked. Just then Ashley sat down in her seat.
"Oh." Shawn added.
~~~~~~~~~~

After class Ashley quickly left the room. Courtney grabbed Shawn's arm and pulled him quickly towards Ashley.

"Ashley!" Courtney said. Ashley stopped and turned around.

"Hi, Ashley. I'm Courtney Cromwell and this is Shawn Adams. We're in the same math class and we just wanted to say hi." Courtney nudged Shawn's side.

"Yeah, hi." Shawn said.

"Oh, yeah. I always see you guys around...together." Ashley said a little disappointedly. Courtney nudged Shawn's side again.

"Yeah. Well, you live right across the street from me. And I was sorta wondering if you would like to come over and just hang out with me and Courtney on Friday?" Shawn asked.

"Uh, yeah. Sure. That's sounds good." Ashley looked straight into Shawn's eyes with Shawn looking back.

"Great. See you tomorrow." Shawn said.

"Yeah." Ashley turned around and walked away. Courtney looked at Shawn.

"Oh. My. God! Shawn! I just wanted you to say hi you didn't have to ask her out." She said while smiling.

"Well, I technically didn't ask her out. I just asked her to come over so we could all hang out since she's new and all that."

"Uh-huh. Yeah. Sure."

"What?"

"Nothing." Courtney kept smiling at him.

"Seriously what? Why are you looking at me like that?" Courtney shook her head.

"You really like her don't you?" She asked. Shawn bit his bottom lip.

"Yeah. I do. I really do." He said while smiling. Courtney giggled.

"It's so nice to see you like this." She said. Then they started walking to their next class.

~~~~~~~~~~
Shawn just got home and went in the kitchen to talk to his mom.
"Hey mom, I invited the new girl from across the street over here to hang out since she really doesn't have any friends, okay?"
"Aw! That's so cute. So you invited her?"
"Mom! Please don't make a big production out of his. She's just coming over. And Courtney's gonna be here, too."
"Well, alright then. That's fine with me." His mom said while smiling to herself.
~~~~~~~~~~

The next afternoon, Shawn, Courtney, and Ashley walked into Shawn's house.

"Nice house." Ashley said.

"Thanks." Shawn replied. Courtney looked a him and smiled.

"So you can just go ahead and sit down at the table. Are you thirsty, Ashley? Would you like a water?" Shawn asked.

"Yeah, thanks."

"I'll take a water, too, Shawn!" Courtney exclaimed. Shawn rolled his eyes. He gave the two girls their waters and sat down with them. Courtney looked at him and moved her eyes towards Ashley signaling him to say something.

"So, Ashley. Where are you from?" Shawn asked.

"Sacramento." She replied.

"Wow. All the way across the country. That must've been hard on your friends and boyfriend." Courtney said.

"Oh, well, honestly I've never had a boyfriend."

"Really? Because it seems like a pretty girl like you would have one."

"Thanks but, I don't."

"Oh well, is there anyone that you're interested in here?"

"Yeah, there is someone, actually."

Courtney looked at Shawn then back at Ashley.

"Really? Who?"

"Courtney! That is not a polite question to ask someone." Shawn said trying not to smile. "I'm sorry Ashley. Court here isn't the most polite person around." Shawn added. He smiled once again his most charming smile. Ashley quickly looked down and laughed.

"That's okay. But I really don't wanna say right now."

"Oh, come on, we won't--"

"Courtney! Shut up will you!" Shawn turned to Ashley and smiled that charming smile. "I'm so, so, so sorrry, Ashley. If I knew she was going to be like this I would've warned you." Ashley looked into his eyes and then quickly looked away.

"It's okay." She replied. Her and Shawn looked at each other again. Then they looked away. Just then, Courtney's cell phone rang.

"Hey, Dad. What's up?...Yeah I'm at Shawn's...Really?...Okay...

Yeah I can leave now...Okay...I'll be there in two minutes...Bye." She said.

"Well, that was my Dad and he said that we have to take my little brother to the hospital. He stuck those mini M&Ms up his nose...again. So if you don't mind I will be leaving now. I know it's rude but I have to be there. Sorry. Bye!"

"Courtney, wait!" Shawn said.

"Goodbye, Shawn!" Then Courtney opened the door and walked out. Shawn sat back down.

"I'm so sorry for that." He said.

"It's okay. Well, I guess I should go."

"You don't have to. I mean...you can stay if you want."

"Really? Thanks."

After a minute of awkward silence. Shawn spoke.

"Ashley, there's been something I've been meaning to tell you." He said. They both looked at each other. Shawn couldn't look away. "I know we just met and all but...I...really...like you."

"You do?"

"Yeah."

"...And you're fifteen...right?" Ashley asked. Shawn was a litle confused at that question.

"Y-yeah. I'm fifteen."

"Oh."

"Why?"

"No reason."

"So, maybe, tomorrow. You and me could go out?"

"I don't really think that's a good idea, Shawn."

"Why not? It's me you like, isn't it?"

"Yeah, but..."

"But what? Why can't we go out."

"Well, it's just that--" Just then Ashley's cell phone rings.

"Hi. Okay...yeah...I'll leave right now...bye."

"Sorry but my dad wants me home."

"Oh, okay. That's fine. See ya on Monday."

"Bye."

Ashley opened the door and then left. Shawn couldn't understand why they couldn't go out.

~~~~~~~~~~
On Monday, Ashley was at her locker she was about to close it when Shawn came up and closed it for her.
"Hi, Ashley." He said with his most charming smile. He saw that Ashley blushed.
"Hi, Shawn." She replied.
"How about you and me. Friday night. Dinner. Your choice. I'll pay." He said while still smiling. He ran his fingers through his hair.
"Shawn. I still don't think that's a good idea."
"Why not?" He took a step closer. Ashley noticed that and blushed more. "You're blushing." He whispered. "You like me." He was still smiling.
"Yes, I do, Shawn but--"
"You. Me. Friday night. Movie. Dinner. Your choice. I'll pay."
Ashley laughed, "You're impossible to say no to, Shawn. So yes. I'll go out with you."
Shawn stepped closer, "Great. See ya later." He was still smiling. He then walked away towards Courtney who was talking to Amy.
"Court! Did you see that?" He asked.
"I sure did! I'm so happy for you!" Courtney hugged him. "Now, I want to here all about it as soon as you get home."
"Okay. Oh, and thanks, Courtney. For fake leaving." Shawn smiled.
"How'd you know?"
"No one left you house."
Courtney laughed. "Yeah. I can't get anything past you."
~~~~~~~~~~

"Court! Listen to this!"

"Oh, hey, Shawnie! How as you're date?"

"It was good, but listen...I found out a secret of Ashley's. It's the reason why she wouldn't go out with me in the first place."

"What is it?"

"Okay. Get this... She skipped two grades! She should really be in eighth grade! So she's only thirteen!"

"Oh. My. God."

"Yeah! I know!"

"So, what are you gonna do?"

"I don't know."

"Did you kiss her?"

"Yeah."

"Did you ask her to be your girlfriend?"

"...Yeah. But that before I knew that I charmed a thirteen year old!

"Oh so you used your Shawn Adams charm to get her?"

"Oh yeah."

"But still, she looks our age!"

"I know!"

"So what are you gonna do? Break up with her?"

"No! I can't do that! That'll make the rumors worse. I'm just gonna have to live it. I really charmed her and now she's all over me. But..."

"You don't like her that way anymore? You don't like her the way you used to?"

"I'm afraid so."

"Ooh. You are in a bad situation."

"Yeah. So I guess I'll just keep her as my girlfriend for as long as I can take it."

"Wow, Shawnie's finally got himself a girlfriend."

"I repeat. I'm afraid so." Shawn hung up.

"Why doesn't he ever say bye anymore?" Courtney said to herself as she closer her phone.

Well again amazing story, and if you don't mind me suggesting this, but mabye you should but the whole think as a book and then just add new chapters. That way it will be easier to just read the next chapter. Instead of having to go back to your page to find the next story, but amazing work...again.
