Left or Right

Left or Right

A Poem by iceteakik

Fate has done me wrong before.
But this time I can not ignore fate's foul play.
Left or right, my path was displayed
The flames afire in my soul frayed
I run in circles and find my self in front of a forked road.

The gnarled trees seem to creep closer as I muse over my choices
The nightmarish voices
And sleepless nights,
have done nothing but impair my judgement
I was cast into this scene with two choices, left or right.

Believe me when I say escape is impossible
My past deeds I see now unforgivable
And now I stand at crossroad
The choices I make define me
So nightmare come true, surprise me.

Left or right
I was given the choice
This time listening to my own voice
I shuffle forward and reason how not so simple decisions can be
