The Sea Of Change

The Sea Of Change

A Poem by Shawn Nagar

I see a cloud in the sky,
Flying ever so high,
Upon the waves of the sea,
Only this can set me free.

The sun rises in the east,
Just as I am ready to feast,
Through the blanket of mist and rain,
Just keeping me from going insane.

The sea speaks to me,
Every day and night,
Forgiving me for my killing spree,
Riding me of deaths sight.

Each wave takes a part,
Of the infection of my soul,
It builds me up and lifts my heart,
And then much clearer do I see my goal.

The ship does sway,
From left to right,
All day everyday,
Helping me keep up the fight.

The wind of change,
In my face does blow,
Reaching my minds innermost range,
Healing me though steady and slow.

And as the sun sets in the west,
I'm sleeping in my bed,
I am free to rest,
And another part of my souls shell is shred.

But once again,
We make land,
Filled with beaten men,
Covered in mud , blood and sand.

And my soul does tumble,
In the debts of Hell,
And at the thought of which I still fumble,
Of how deep it truly fell.
