The Night

The Night

A Poem by shaun7

As I walk along, this cold hard road.
All I see is paralleled lines.
While I keep merging forward.
I gain more distances.

I look up, at the moon lit sky.
I see all the stars, winking back at me.
The air is lukewarm, because I can feel a gentle breeze.
As I walk along, this cold hard road.

I take a rest, here and there.
Just to look up into the universe.
I see all the stars.
Which maps out all the gods and goddesses.

The one that looks more promising.
Is the big dipper of eternal flow.
When the dipper is turned upside down.
It's pouring magic unto this world.

In old folk lore.
It's a preliminary walk.
Which after the tests.
You are in control of your own destiny.

As I walk along, this cold hard road.
I see a metaphoric light, headed my way.
To carry me home.
And destinies are never forsaken.
