Time Marches On

Time Marches On

There are moments when I've hesitated,
times when I've stood still
Experiences I've never allowed myself,
Afraid of how the end would make me feel

But a tough decision I had to make
and I must sojourn on,
Days wind down and all things end,
my forever has come and gone.

But despite the bitter end of it,
Another beautiful day does dawn,
no more standing still for me...
for time always marches on.
