What do you seeA Poem by ShaunMosley
If I could spend just a day alive in your eyes?
When I look at myself would I believe all my lies? If for only a moment I could see what you see Would I rage with contempt, would I loath the real me? Or would I, like you, embrace the denial? While you silently suffer, and I indifferently smile What do you see when I am in your view? Happily ever after, just me and you? How could this be after the the thousands of tears, that have drenched all your pillows over the years If I could see myself as you do, with loves blinded perception Could I truly forgive all the hurt and deception Through your tear filled eyes, put there by me How can you stay, What do you see? © 2012 ShaunMosley |
