Frostbite

Frostbite

A Poem by writerofshadows

Ice and wind
Slicing through
Nothing stands
In its way
Blizzard's might
Winter's fury
A frozen heart
Trying to thaw
The ice is thick
And unforgiving
It needs warmth
Someone to heal
All the open wounds
Hidden by the frost
Numbed by the cold
Maybe It's not trying after all
So it can hide
In thes frozen fortress of solitude
Forever hiding
Until someday
When someone
Can heal the hidden wounds
And set the heart free
Someday
