Picture Memory

Picture Memory

A Poem by writerofshadows

No matter where you go
How far

How long

It doesn’t matter the space between
Because I won’t let go
Of that old photo memory

Wrinkled and faded
Folded and unfolded
Time and again
With the tear in the top right corner
The old picture memory
I will treasure always
My minds eye
Constantly wandering its surface
Tracing your every line

The soft tender smile
As my ears perpetually replay

The gentle sound of your laughter
This may grow old with time
But it will be with me always
I will never let it go
