Tribute to Snowfall

Tribute to Snowfall

A Poem by writerofshadows

Snow falls in the winters mid

I see everything you never did

Locked inside and warm within

Youll see nothing in your prison

Though it may be cold and unforgiving

Its icy beauty is calm beyond living

Venture from your safe domain

Find serenity and remain

The silver crystal glimmer bright

The snow capped trees fight

Against a hard northern wind

Witness the frozen years end

In awe, gaze the crystal creeks

Feel the cold on rosy cheeks

Perfect snowflakes, from the sky, fall

A blanket of white covers all

Springs colors are vibrant and wild

Summers heat is brutal not mild

Autumns wind is crisp and golden

But winter is pure
