Mistaken Judgements

Mistaken Judgements

A Poem by writerofshadows

such beauty in those shadows
echoeing forth from all manner of hearts of men
a fading in the light and growing of dark
people looking away from the pain of others
looked down upon for theyre indifference
when they are the only ones who truelly understand
such pain, such useless, pointless pain
easy to rise above
but chained by your own shackles
too afraid to leave your safety zone
to take a chance
those people who look away
that refuse to give handouts to people
who have taken them so many times before
truelly understand
that hand outs alone
will solve nothing
understanding
that will solve so much more
to speak of what is needed
opposed to what is wanted
the line between is not thin
but it is ugly
and not many wish to pass over
but those who do
those who are scorned for it
know how little a little is
when it wont be used in a proper manner
sometimes people want help
but need to get up on their own
