Sleepless NightsA Poem by ignited_soulIf you do not understand, the 'light' of the stars in the poem is actually this couples (anonymous) love.
I lay awake
counting the endless stars thinking of my love thinking of you Our love is much like these stars That I count, It shines bright It lasts, what seems like forever When will it burn out? When it does burn out, maybe the light will stay just faintly there not yet digesting that it is dead My mind runs in circles thinking about this light these stars this death A painful, sweet death Inevitable, even though I wish it was not true When will these sleepless nights come to an end? Thoughts of you become too maddening to ignore So I lay here wondering Do you love me as much as I love you? Do you love me, to the moon, and back? To the farthest star that the eye can see? My love, some say stars last forever, Forever is a long time but I wouldn't mind spending every second of it with you © 2016 ignited_soulReviews
