CURSE OF A FLIGHTA Poem by Vidushi SharmaWhat all does an eye of a bird have to endure just because they can fly! I tried to visualize their plight, curse of a Flight! With no wings I can fly In my world’s clear sky Against this fly there is no pull I can fly till my hearts full On my flight I see a letter I slow my pace to look better It had someone’s present and past Never reached destiny time was fast I see a boy who has a rose With his sleeve, he wiped his nose His eyes were shedding bucketful of tear Oh! What a pity! I cannot bear. On my flight I saw a dead man Around corpse river of tear ran From the eyes of people I can’t count Whose grieves were beyond any mount I see an old man starving half On his condition ,cruel fate laughed Whom he had challenged one time Never did he thought, before doing such crime My all joys of flying in sky Fell greatly from all that high World was so full of sad things I won’t fly again even if I had wings..
