The Happy Days

The Happy Days

A Poem by Sharkapillar
"

Song. Something I haven't written in a long time.

"
I know I'm just one girl
Meaningless in this big world
And I know I'm not perfect
That doesn't mean that I'm the defect

I have done nothing wrong
I'm the one being strong
And you're the silly coward
Afraid to face the truth
Afraid to face you

I know you are his girl
I'm perfectly aware that he's your world
I know you think he's perfect
He started this, he's the defect

I am writing this song
And I'm singing along
You're hiding from the mirror
Afraid to face the truth
Afraid to face you

The happy days of holding hands
We can agree that they were grand

I've been so lonely so long
You are where I belong
And you're the silly coward
Afraid to face the truth
Afraid to face you

Author's Note

Sharkapillar
I recently lost my best friend for the most childish reason. All blame has been placed on me by her and her friends, but I'm not the one to blame, nor is she. There was no action done. All I did was care for someone she also cared for. Childish, yes?
