Darkened ground and brightened moon
Toe touch's grass as we dance 'round Singing praise and chanting runes Heart's wings beating at the sound Tread the circle thrice about To keep unwelcome spirits out Smoke of bay and smudge of sage Their scents curling up to the sky We are Her actors and the world our stage Her belov'd children you and I Light of eye and soft of touch Speak you little, listen much The moon beams bright as it doth wax Casting down Her soothing light We pay to Her our tribute, a tax Our gift to her this Samhain night Widdershins go when the moon doth wane And the Werewolf howls by the dread Wolfsbane © 2010 SharkapillarAuthor's Note
