Amhrán de mo Chroí

"Danger" is the Raven's cry
Hyperventilation is my reply
He lends me his black wings to fly
And my toes bid the ground good-bye

Fleeing through the woods, chased by the unknown
Flying on Raven's wings, higher than I've ever flown
I know that I must run, what am I running from?
My heartbeats and footsteps are the war drum

Wind wails out a song for me
Is é an t-amhrán de mo chroí
Up in the sky, there's so much to see!
But I can't see what's chasing me

Hours of flying, still I haven't seen
This unknown shadow that's after me
But maybe, since he's so obscured from view
I'm not running from, I'm running to?

Author's Note

Is é an t-amhrán de mo chroí: Irish-Gaelic, it means "It's the song of my heart"
