A Poem by Sharkapillar
"

Written whilst wearing vinyl, neon green high heels that were way too small for me and an olive green velvet hat. (Don't ask)

"

You smell like her, she smells like you
And you keep on acting I've not a clue
I sit here in my vinyls and velvets
Counting my blessings, counting my regrets
My paper and pen know I could have done better
I've more important things to write than those four black letters

You reek of her though I can't smell it
You're far away but I still can tell it
I'm hurting you, I can hear and see
But I'll laugh and dance away from thee
Morrigan's curse on you, I'd have fared better
If I hadn't let love lock me into its steel fetters

I can smell the lies embedded in you
You can't lie to me, I know when you're true
I can taste false pretenses in every word
But I smile and nod like it doesn't hurt
I don't swallow lies, no, I choke on them all
I continue to let you. I continue to fall.

But I smell close victory, I'll win yet
And hopefully your lies and emptiness I'll forget
The vinyl is cutting off my circulation
the calls bounce away from their regulation
A Fine Frenzy to be my healing patch
To sing me to sleep until I find a better match

I love this poem! I know how it feels to know something like that when nobody says anything because its so obvious.(Haha, long sentence.) Anyway, beautiful job!! I think the second stanza was my favorite. It was so accusing!

I love a Fine Frenzy, by the way (:

I'm quite fond of "Liar, Liar"

you don't have to see someone to know the truth.
