Like Nature

Like Nature

A Poem by Sharkapillar
"

Another song, also the result of listening to Ingrid Michaelson, like so many of my lyrics.

"

Turning around, seeing with new eyes

How could I do this? Why didn't I realize?

When will I learn, when will I see

Love is like nature, just let it be

Watching my world as it goes by

Watching a painting coming to life

Hearing her cry, she'd give anything

To have life like the one I trashed--now I have nothing

Watching the clock, seconds tick by

Watching my life fleeing like starlight

I reah out my arms, but I'm too late

It's gone with the time, love, music, and fate

Love is natural, just let it be

Don't go snatching butterflies or hearts

When will I learn, when will I see?

If I ever learn, when will I start?

I liked this poem. It had a rhythm, a beat, that made me drum my fingers. Overall an excellent piece.
