Time

Time

A Poem by Sharkapillar
"

Really old one...I don't remember all of it, it was longer than this

"

Time passes by

I'm staring dumbly at the clock

I can only hear the "tick"

I cannot hear the "tock"

I haven't gone deaf

But I hear only every other word

My vision, so defined

Is now black and white and blurred

The room is spinning around

But I'm planted firmly on the ground

I can't speak

I can't think

I haven't tried, but I probably can't blink

Fifteen minutes down

Now a hundred minutes more

Impatient are my toes

As they tap against the floor

The thorny words are cutting deep

No longer just a tiny prick

The crimson petals match my blood

Blood that flows, rich and thick

~

I was about 11 or so years old when this was written...I don't know how or why or where I was going with it, but about ten minutes ago I had that bit right there running through my mind and I typed all I could remember.

Pretty cool, I really like it. You were even good at poetry at age 11. Wow.
