Only Shadows Know

Only Shadows Know

A Poem by Sharkapillar
"

Inspired by boredom

"

Only shadows know

What we do when alone

The secrets we keeped locked away

And reveal when night's dark cloak is sewn

Only shadows know

All the reasons why

Why our pillows are so damp

The reasons for every tear we cry

Only shadows know

Where the accidents come from

Why "catscratches", "bike crashes", and "papercuts"

Why so often do they come

And only shadows will know

That this poem, 'twas writ by me

I sit, warm in night's dark cloak

And I pray that none but shadows will ever see.

I liked the first half better than the 2nd half

Only shadows know
What we do when alone
The secrets we keeped locked away
And reveal when night's dark cloak is sewn
Only shadows know
All the reasons why
Why our pillows are so damp
The reasons for every tear we cry

I liked the idea of it as a whole. Overall pretty good.

It's soooo true. If only our shadows could talk. They know all our dirty little secrets. I love your poem, thought it was super awesome. I mean it.

Really good introspective reflection on the hidden and unknown. Gave me a chilling feeling.

Another fantastic piece El. I loved the line
"Why "catcratches", "bike crashes", and "papercuts"
so easy to relate to ;)
The flow and rhythm in this piece was easy to identify and spot on the moment you began reading.
Lovely ^_^
