River PoemA Poem by Shari RobinsonI dream out loud glimmering, slippery words cascading from my dreaming mind like a river in flood every fish in my imagination's river A species of poem every glinting rock in its bed a story sometimes the flood dries to a trickle and the water words diminish But the very molecules of my river mind are made from words, images, poetry and story the stream of my consciousness ever present Waiting for me to dip my aching feet into the generous, never ending flow
