I see the mad species
At each other's throats again
The battle lines have been drawn
Between those who serenade
And those who starve each day
Whose side I'll be on I don't know
Maybe I won't side with anyone
Maybe I'll watch from far away
Them tearing down houses
And content I'll be in the knowledge that
I don't belong in this maddening frenzy
Of people holding guns to bring peace
On a planet they never treated as home
And when the war draws to an end
I'll light up my cigarette and
Wait for the next carnage...

Vishuddha

Violence is in our mouths, in our teeth, in our bellies, in our blood. It is us. It is not ours for solving problems. It is only ours for survival. Nature plays with a two edged sword. Cuts two ways. Will be the death of us if we don't watch out. There is no end to the war, just another phase. How long will this go on? I'll lean against the wall with you and light a cigarette.
