CRIES OF A LONER'S HEART

CRIES OF A LONER'S HEART

A Poem by shan337

Nights are a shackle to me now
Constant reminders of love's absence
Mornings are a feeding tube
Forced through me by devilish fate
How hard is it to find love
And to lose your very being
To your beloved dove
I see love blossom all around me
See it change people every which way
Then why does it keep eluding me
Is it supposed to be this agonizing
How long am i supposed to wait
Wait for a love that
For all i know, might never show
Have the stars erred in writing the script
Or am I not worthy of love
Am i to forever keep looking at the night sky
Hoping to find that star that leads to you
And in the process kill the man within
To become the beast I once was
