Sea of Failure

Sea of Failure

A Poem by Shannon McRoberts

Abject failure-
and feelings of worthlessness
Deep down
in the green blue sorrow
my soul is drowning.

It's hard to breathe-
beneath the crushing waves-
of apathy.

To be seen in the sun-
if only for a minute-
would keep me afloat.

But it is hard to swim
When you have been sinking for so long
In the Sea of Failure.

I came back on just to say... "You've spoken very expressively." Because I came back to say that - says something else as well.

Take care,
Chris
