Cement and Kisses

Cement and Kisses

A Poem by Shannonmarie

Cement and Kisses

Your tough but what's the rush

Tidal wave kisses and sun burned hugs

Isn't that what love is only about

A false reality and whiskey brewed rum

It's a sweeter taste when you've all lost your way

Bleeding punches and such soft hugs

This metaphor isn't done

Tell me does love make sense

Laughing tears are drinking all the f*cking vodka shots

When there's none more

Was it really any fun

Your a paragon in your words

And a sinner in your shoes

You f*cking stole this heart

And turned it inside out

You made it bleed

regal and quaint

sorrow and scandalous

valour and vanity

reckless and queasy

Tell me is love really there

Cement and kisses

Is what you said

Maybe

Would Love be as kind

If you were to Lie

Drink to my

Tidal wave kisses

and

Sun burned hugs

Cause your all i've been thinking of
