First and foremost, thank you for the read request Ashan. After reading the Title, I was reluctant to read the poem! However, it struck me "Death is inevitable from the day we are born!" So I started reading your poem and yes it was scarier, but there are certain lines which you wrote that I couldn't stop myself from highlighting for those are the essence or rather "Beauty" of your poem.
1) There is no escape from it
Every moment brings it a few inches closer
Under a candle light we strive forward
Unaware that at some point, we will meet it.
2) The truth which Jesus, Buddha and Krishna knew.
The ones who embraced the beauty of death, the chosen few.
3) Realise that this moment is a gift, let us be mindful,
That death is just a celebration, which ends in silence.
In short, amazing piece of writing Ashan, Keep it up!

This is half the poem. I am happy that you saw the lines to be quotable. Thank you so much.
This poem is grammatically sound. Believe me; I looked. I hate to see good writing about something that I am firmly against. In that what I'm saying is that I really hate this poem, so... good writing.
Hey Gus, thanks for the review...
But what exactly are you firmly against? embracing death?

That being said, I am not a missionary and it is not my desire to start a debate. A complement from an ally is easy to get; a complement from an opponent holds weight. We may not agree on the subject, but I recognize good writing.

Even I used to believe that there was a supreme power by the name of Shiva, Vishnu, Krishna and the millions of gods that we have in the Hindu Religion. It was only after studying deeply into Spirituality, psycho analytics, organic chemistry, psychiatry, biology, mythology, anthropology and history that I realised how man came forward to believe in the concept of god and how religions of the world strengthened over the course of history of civilization. Once someone undergoes deep study into science, it is automatic that all the questions will be answered and the religious beliefs will fall without any effort at all.
I agree. Old wise saying. "We must be born and we must die. What matters is what we do in the middle of the journey."
"Realise that this moment is a gift, let us be mindful,
That death is just a celebration, which ends in silence. "
The above lines are true wisdom and thank you Ashan for sharing the amazing poetry.

I am afraid of dying...but this has a good point. Death Is a celebration...and this message is reassuring. Well done!

if we believe there is something after, Death isn't so scary...more like it is depicted in Dickinson's "because i could not stop for death"
more of a gentleman caller...and if we have embraced life to the fullest...we will not fear.
it will come to all of us...some of us look around at all of our friends and family who have passed and we wonder what makes us so lucky to still be around...
really like this, especially in a philosophical sense.

And there is nothing to be scared about death also... It will come, whether we are scared or not. The thing is, we can rarely prepare for it too..
I completely agree with your second and third poem, which is the crux of the idea behind my poem as well.
It is a bit philosophical, will see to write more light hearted poems in the future. Thanks for the review.
Very descriptive and creative piece of writing!
It makes us realize that life isn't eternal and each moment of life should be beautiful utilized!!
My fav. Lines-
"The mind, that clever little voice reminds
‘Look, it is everywhere around you, but you are still here, living’
No one knows if it is around the corner, where it resides
But when it does arrive, no mind would be alive to say, ‘I told you so.’"
However, I think you need to cover more wider beliefs of death in relation to religion.
A contrast of Semitism and non-semitism...
People do believe in life after death.
A very powerful write and good use of vocab!!
I appreciate it for its originality:::)))

There is no scientific evidence in the 2000 years of humanity to prove otherwise. We are all particles of matter and our bodies will simply disintegrate into the soil or air once we are dead.
Do read my poem, 'Last wish', it covers this topic in-depth.
Thanks a lot for the review :)
