Job application of a poet

Can a poet find a real job? But, what can stop him from trying right?

Dear sir/madam,

I was standing at life's crossroads

and found that you are looking for a man of ideas and words.

While searching for companies, I found

that yours made a connection and a unique bond.

Between the customer and client,

you make the golden bridge.

Pushing decisions of those

standing at the edge.

 

In my portfolio, you can find the poems & stories I made.

I make sure that whatever I create shall never fade.

 

I use the ideas that work for today's time and age.

I arrest their attention; they won't flip the page.

Without further adieu, please find my resume below

My internships, research materials and achievements shows,

that I shall be an asset to your creative force.

If you like my work, if you think I am right for your place.

Call me for an interview; we can meet face to face.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Author's Note

I work at an advertising agency. This is something that I have actually written while applying for companies. Though none of them reverted to this bizarre poem. I hope now that I can use it to amuse you all, my friends.

As I only write to "entertain", I enjoyed this tongue in cheek job application. Advertising relies on creative minds and unique approaches, and this fits those criteria..But.....these days, job applications are rarerly even acknowledged unless they are successful.

Of course! I had something in mind like: Middle aged pasty white lady seeks job. Must pay top dollar, have internet and subsidize Netflix subscription...But I haven't done anything, just had a thought of writers submitting their "resumes" , maybe in a contest you put up on this site? If not, that's fine. Again, haven't written anything, it as just something that popped in my head when I read your piece.
