I've Been Away.

I've been away.
Far away.
My feet are stilled.
Frozen.
Where do I go?
How do I return?
My path is blocked.
The sun it blinds.
I need the rain
Melt my pain.
Wash away this discrepancy

I have returned.
I am here.
But things have changed.
Do I miss the old?
Welcome the new?
I've found laughter in your defeat.
Yet still frozen are my feet.
Maybe this time I'll change.
This time will be different.
