The Cursed TownA Poem by Interrupting Dawn
The night is young The sun went down No angels sing In this small town Here children cry In fear of soon They’ll look to the sky And lose the moon The clock strikes nine The sun is set Dark begins to dine Now you will regret The clock strikes ten Now watch your back for Silent wings bear sin And nothing lies beyond the door The clock strikes eleven No one ever sleeps No one goes to heaven Now, soon there are creeks The clock strikes twelve The night is shattered In the shadows dwell Their nightmares This hour lasts longer Almost for a day Because everyone is running As the demons come to play The clock strikes one Still no one sleeps Except the dead Blood runs through leeks The clock strikes two The air is red The dead are few The prophecy said The clock strikes three The witches scream For the fun begins To curse human dreams The clock strikes four The stars call out And wake heavens door As the sun begins to spout For this cursed town Where no one sleeps Where nightmares come And give citizens treats © 2008 Interrupting DawnReviews
