What Do You See When You Look In The Mirror?A Poem by Interrupting DawnpoemWill you watch as the tears tear away At the posture of your face? As they cut down your cheeks; Now you feel like a disgrace. In your sudden distress; Subtly wipe them from your eyes. When you pretend that everything's okay, You can see your wicked disguise. Trying to push out a smile, Only streches the lips on your mouth. You well up again, Watch as they migrate farther south. Now when you look in the mirrior, It's obvious you have a faulty expression. Have you realized your punishment? Expulsion from heaven. © 2008 Interrupting Dawn |
