Stranded

Stranded

A Poem by Shane Patrick C.

My heart has been left lonely and incomplete

And at her hands I found my loves defeat

How I pray selfishly for passion and affection

As I cry out for my souls intervention

My mind has struggled through a lifetime like this

While my pain has become envy for loves heavenly bliss

Convicted by corruption in thy own self

That I dare not say "I love you" to someone else

Down on my knees I ask for the blessing of rescue

So I may take a wounded spirit to some sort of refuge

I beg in despair for only a forgiving gift

What must I sacrifice for this most desired wish

I am a man left stranded in the most violent sea

Searching for the strength that use to define me

Wanting someone so bad that it hurts is emotionally draining. You penned it well. Xo
