Somewhere In Time

Somewhere In Time

A Poem by ShaneBerry

Somewhere in Time

Days without your sweet face…

Pitying myself, and missing the sweet taste,

Of you kiss, your air, and your lips on mine.

Girl I would give anything, to see you one more time.

And then I give everything to see you one more time, again.

But I know it is true, that somewhere in time, I’m holding you watching asleep next to me,

And I am kissing your head as you dream in my arms.

Knowing that here you will feel no harm.

Now what can I do, to make somewhere in time, be here and now?

Pleas baby just tell me what can I do, to get me to you?

Hold you like in my dreams; share the love that so true!

How can I reveal, actions far louder than words, if you are not here, and I am not there, next to you.

But I know, somewhere in time, we in a grassy field, lying next to each other,

Thinking it’s too good to be real!

But SOMEHOW!

I want somewhere in time to be here right now…

Many things, whether good or bad, happen for a reason. As will another event that'll make him realize his choices and actions of forcing you away were the wrong ones. Just wait patiently my friend, for the time will come when your time with Kayla will be bountiful in nature and you shall never be afraid again. Love is a wonderful thing, it's the most painful thing in many ways, yet it's the one thing that makes us feel so alive. By reading your poems about her I see your inner spirit, have no worries Dear. You'd be surprised on the good things happening right under your nose. :)

The feeling of longing is definitely there. But as you remarked, the rhythm is changing too often to enable the reader to concentrate on the words. But, one realizes through your poem that the feeling of loving and longing is throughout the ages and places the same!
