The Lion-Wolf

The Lion-Wolf

A Poem by ShaneBerry
"

i wanted to make my own symbol, and have a poem to go with it :)

"

The Lion-Wolf

I am the rampant Lion,

I am the passant wolf.

The attacking beast.

The patient stalker.

I hold in my hands, power and wisdom.

The ability to fight and the ability to learn.

The ability to save and the ability to destroy.

I am the Lion-Wolf,

I’m Rampant and Passant.

I will hunt you down.

I will defend you to my last breath.

I will murder you coldly,

Or I will save you from death.

I will lead my army,

Or go it alone.

Using every weapon, even my bones.

I am the Lion-Wolf,

I am Both Rampant and Passant

Author's Note

ShaneBerry
Just something i slapped together for my new symbol, i love the "Cloudy Wolf" or "Fenrir" symbol from the Final Fantasy Seven movie "Advent Children." but i did not want that to be my only symbol, wolfs embody intelligence, and cunning. but i needed a symbol for strength and nobility, and i began reading up on the Heraldry and other symbols, while the dragon and the griffin are both very powerful looking creatures, they neither symbolized strength, the dragon symbolized wealth and power(in the terms of magical powers not physical and mental strength) and the Griffin only symbolized beauty and faith.
So, i keep the wolf, and add to it, the Lion in its Rampant state, the Wolf will be worn on my left shoulder, and the Lion on my left, for now though, they will be worn, Wolf on my wrist, and Lion around my neck.

A very strong poem. I like how you wrote this poem. Using the animal spirit is always a way to create strength and myth. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
