A Beautiful Beginning. A Scary Risk    

I know that i am odd, 

I do not even share your beliefs in an all powerful god.

And i know i said I'd listen,

But all i did was lie.

You tolled me to leave her

That you did not want me to get hurt.

And I did not believe you, 

Until the tears where on my shirt.

You've always been looking out for me

even when our past was still very dusty.

I really hope, that you can trust me

Kayla, your voice is like a knifethrust to me,

sending chills down my spine,

make me feel out of reality.

But, the fear of pain,

the fear of hurt,

the fear of constraining you.

the fear of breaking you.

the fear of not knowing how to be with you.

 

Its a beautiful thing, and a scary risk. 

Such a valiant friend, such a gentle kiss.

But is the courage to love,

not also the courage to risk?

a beautiful friendship,

on a beautiful kiss?

The story line was beautiful. There are so many mistakes each of us make out of foolish stubborness. I hope for your sake that you can move on and be happy with her and just remember sometimes the outsiders see things far better than we on the inside do.

As for the poem it was wonderfully written, however the flow was very halting. I think with some tweaking and word changes you could have a perfect poem on your hands.

She looks like a wonderful and pretty girl. Life is a circle. I found people years later and establish a relationship. Age allow us to be smarter and wiser if we are lucky. A excellent poem. Good people will return back into a life.
