Fight Me

Fight Me

A Poem by ShaneBerry
"

Lets Do This!

"
Fight Me
From across the Lot he glared at my friend,
on a good note i knew this night wouldn't end.
He walks up to her and spins her around,
alcohol on his breath.
I shout,
Waking the misery.
FIGHT ME!
Or leave now.
FIGHT ME!
I wont back down!
FIGHT ME!
For glory!
FIGHT ME!
For honor!
For a piece of my flesh!
STRIKE ME!
To Hurt me!
Lets see if i can bleed!
Back off!
Get away!
TAKE ME!
Lets see!
If your man enough to go toe to toe!
FIGHT ME!
TAKE ME!
Strike me to the cold ground!
or watch me spin you head around!
As i stare at him bleeding on the ground i smile as i feel my eye swelling up from the bruise. I wrap my arm around her and we leave.

Its okay. Not the greatest. Its a good idea, Im just not seeing alot of good flow, and the format seems off. Its a really good idea though.

Ha! This is so real and direct that it brought back many a memory. I also want to thank Billy for inspiring you to write this. it is anger and confrontation at it's best.

You can sense the anger. I liked this.

Nice asskicking story. Unfortunately I never said anything clever when someone fought me, which had only been a couple of times I'm kind of a pacifist :)

Oh my ~ some anger so powerfully and poignantly expressed....I was captivated by this scene of confrontation from the start ! You've got talent, Shane !!!

The last 2 lines would read even better if they stayed within your format ~ you don't need an explanation, you want to finish with a BANG....my take, anyway.

I love the format of this it's great, and you can easily picture the entire thing and sense your anger. Great job (:

Angry much? Haha. It's nice to see someone who actually defends a lady's honor. I've never been in a bar fight but I can imagine that it would get your adreniline flowing like this poem does. Well written.
