Space

Space

A Poem by ShaneBerry
"

Cannot be created, Nor erased.

"
Space
All of the universe,
Or the room in a case,
Non-existent,
Without a trace.
Cannot be created,
Nor erased.
A stunning,
Abominable
Disgrace,
That which is Space.

A very impactful and profound use of imagery and analogy to describe what is in essence existence itself - whether Man, creature, the elements, or life in general. It is also very three-dimensional in its aphorisms, portraying the subject with both awe and repulsion... as life indeed is... "A stunning, abominable disgrace.."
Excellent poem.

Infinite Space is just where the finite universe exists. If by some magic we could become big enough to hold the entire universe in the palm of our hand we would probably see more universes as far as the eye could see and forget the one in our hand.

I really liked the way you have worded this and worked out the whole idea of space. I think you could even expand it further, expand the entity and non entity of space with your interesting use of words

Quite interesting, personally I always thought that space is just that, space, pure nothingness, but now I'm having doubts weather space is an actual entity. excellent

Very philosophical. Makes me want to start up conversations about whether space is created. Definitely see how space untamed can be somewhat undesirable.

Interesting concept of space. The flow and rhythm is great, especially in the first four lines. I didn't like the color change of "Space" though, the emphasis isn't needed I think and the color choice simply doesn't fit the theme in my opinion. I found it interesting that you called Space a disgrace. It makes the poem subjective, opinionated and personal, which is cool because that's what the world and space is. It's as though you're commenting on space and everything within it as subjective beings and creatures. Nothing is objective, not even the vast, undefined space. Well done.

Well....it's an excellent poem. A more careful study would bring one to ask the question "It's all a matter of opinion, isn't it?"
Great write.
