Fire Fight
The light from the flares ignite her face, Forcing him to relive every mistake. Every day seems like a never ending race, In this,the world that never gives, only takes. As clouds fall, dripping from the sky, The rain drops. giving their tears, A place to hide. On top of the hill, They will rise, Hand in hand. The missiles ignite, And nothing's right. But this can't be wrong. Waited soo long, But this is the end, Approaching them faster, He feels it. The warmth from disaster. And now it's upon us, So now He'll be honest. And say... He's always loved her. He holds her face, Gives his heart for her to keep. They begin to kiss, Before their lips can meet. The missile did not miss... © 2014 ShaneBerryAuthor's Note
