Bye Bye Daddy

Bye Bye Daddy

A Poem by Aradie Rain

Can anyone hear me?

Help me.

Anyone.

Can't you see my pain?

Why don't I deserve the love.

I want to be your little girl.

Daddy?

Why did you leave me?

DIDN"T YOU LOVE ME?

please..

I just want you to be my daddy.

Take me to the zoo.

No! Don't get a new daughter.

I'll be better I promise,

I'll do my chores.

I'll be nicer to brother.

I'll do anything just don't...

Don't call her your little girl...

Too late for that.

I'm a big girl now.

All grown up.

Go ahead and love that new baby.

I don't care anymore.

You were never my father.

Never a friend.

You were never there.

So don't try to fix things.

It's to late for that.

Damage done and I'm gone.

So who's going to be your big girl now?

Wow, what a powerful piece of writing. As a father of a 5 year old girl, I hope I never hear this poetry from her. The father/daughter relationship is one of the most talked about and explored, and in my opinion the most fascinating of all relationships.
Thanks for sharing your words on such an emotive topic.
"Why don't I deserve the love. I want to be your little girl"...great lines...
