In the Months Since I Saw You

In the Months Since I Saw You

A Poem by Aradie Rain
"

Ran into an ex of mine while at Super Games, paintball Tourney.

"

A long time ago

you left me in pain.

Searching for an answer.

Today I have found it.

Alot has led upto my apparition.

Many silent tears and chocolate bars.

The reason to why you left.

To why I must learn to live without you.

I met new people.

A whole new family.

New schools and friends,

While you were gone.

In the last months since you have left,

I have discovered a new person within myself.

That had been waiting to bloom.

When I finally saw you again,

That night at the tournament.

I was filled with utter confusion.

We flirted.

You picked me up.

Told me you missed me.

While all the while

I knew it was wrong.

As soon as I left the next morning

the illusion was broken.

I was free of your grasp.

Because I knew,

You wanted me back.

And I had the power to say no.

I knew I was strong enough

to do what was best for me,

and get over you.

So I did.

I really love this poem! It shows strength and independence, while also showing how he'd hurt you before. I also like how you ended this poem, and the line breaks. It's a little long, though… But other than that, love it!! :)
