Daddy's Little Girl

Daddy's Little Girl

A Poem by Aradie Rain

"Don't turn around.

It will only hurt If you look,

Keep facing forward.

You know whats behind you.

You know why you shouldnt look.

You already know.

If you look...

You'll see him picking up that little girl,

Carrying her on his shoulders.

Pushing her on the swings.

You hear the laughing and giggling.

Shrieks of laughter and Happiness.

and the "Where's daddy's little girl?"

There is nothing you can do to stop it.

Long time ago you where taken away.

Over time you where replaced by a new baby smile.

Blonde hair and green eyes, that giggles and laughs.

Never where you that little girl.

Even though you wish you where."

Oh this was sad.. and it's truly a writing I can somewhat relate to. Missing a parent growing up can be sorrow at some points in life.. and it's not something a person can change. My heart went out to this person if it's real.. not in pity but in acknowledging such a painful tragedy. Parents die everyday.. some leave.. I've seen so many children being raised by others than their own parents even. Life can be tough but hopefully each survivor can find the passion to excel above such sadness.. and if future planning a family.. relive and find joy in having children of their own. This was really deep and you did a great job making it feel real if it was just creatively written. Well done!
