Mirror in the sky

I met my best friend today, In another person. Reminds me of how much I miss him.

Today I met a man.

HIs name was yours.

I've never met another man with the same.

No one has ever reminded me so much of you.

 

Dearest friend.

 

I see so much of you.

What you could have been.

In this Man of 18.

 

I see your wisdom in him.

Waiting to bloom.

He needs what you needed.

A good girl to knock him straight.

 

His name was yours once,

A long time ago.

 

 

He reminds me so much of you.

who you were,

who you could have been to me.

 

Your looking down

and laughing.

Can't you see the resemblence?

 

He thinks he is the best.

Arrogant. Funny. "Cool".

Didn't you think the same?

 

He reminds me so much of you.

A mirror image in the sky.

Reflecting you down to me.

 

He will come in age,

as did you once.

He will be a girls best friend someday.

 

Like you were once.

A long time ago.

Touching, heartfelt, loved this! Loved especially the line "He needs what you needed, a good girl to knock him straight".....made me smile. Only slight annoying thing was the inconsistency with the capital letters at the start of each line. But other than that, i loved it!
