I miss you

I miss you

A Poem by Aradie Rain

I miss you

Miss the curves of your body

We fit together perfectly.

I miss your kiss

I miss the rocks thrown at my window,

The midnight sneak outs.

Drive-ins on saturday nights

Dancing in a bar till the next morning.

Our bodies grinding on the dance floor.

I miss you

your smile

pearly whites.

Your hand in mine

running down the street, sharp right

to avoid being caught

Take out our treasure

of stolen wine and vodka...

those were the days.

We were so young

Stupid

We lived for each other.

I miss you always

Great poem. A look back on the fun of teenagers, and accepting that what you had was still, and always will be worthwhile.

Really candid sense to a subject to which I can relate. The way you capture the nostalgic yearning is brilliant and strikes of lessons learnt and love lost rued. Enjoyable read.
