Top Dawg

Top Dawg

A Poem by Aradie Rain
"

My old highschool

"

That feeling; When you walk into a room,

Everyone looks away.

The Best friend you had for years,

before the choice,

Is afraid to speak to you.

You can walk down the bottle neck

of James Madison Memorial High School,

and have every single person move out of your way.

Officer Kevin walks your way,

hand on his loaded gun;

he now has to carry

because of what you have done.

You get called into your counslers office

Everyday for your "appointment",

You walk into the room; with Principle Hendrickson,

Mr Larson your history teacher, and you correctional officer Victoria.

Each looking at you,

with distrusting eyes.

Desperatly looking for a friendly face,

but you fine none.

The look of fear in peoples eyes

Your the Top Dog around here.

People do what you tell them to,

Move out of line for you in the lunch room.

Carry your books, do your homework.

The Sword and Sheild

did an article about you..

never gave you and interview

none brave enough to ask the questions.

Everyone already knows,

knows what you did, rumors.

Details added, exluded.

But you feel the power.

The worse you are,

the worse things you do.

The more you are respected.

Top Dog

Still feels the bars

Because everyone treats you

like what you are

A Criminal

Thats what life is like at Memorial High
