Grandmother of the Earth

Grandmother of the Earth

A Poem by Aradie Rain

I can feel the change

as my body slowly morphs

First my toes

they turn Worms

and wriggle free from my body

Now I can borrow

Into the soil were hence I came

My feet

become rabbits

and hop away

So I may join in the

orgies of love making

Next my legs

they grow and grow

and become the great redwood forrest

So I may watch

all that in below

My hands

Fly away

to take their place among birds of paridise

And I can Soar the skies

feel the wind beneath my wings

Arms

grow legs and scamper off

to howl at the moon

Praising all

that is around me

My Torso

opens up

to reveal the life within

As I give birth

to new life

All that is left now

is my Face

I have felt no pain

My body is gone

and I am soon to be free

Lastly

My Face

becomes a thousand Butterflies

and flies away

Now I can stay

in peace

I have become my world

Spread out through live

and I am the grandmother of the earth

I am Free
